Terms of use
Draft · last updated 31 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and [owner's name or company, and address] ("we") for using bountime, on the web and in the apps. By making an account you agree to them. They're written to be read; if anything is unclear, write to [support email].
The service
bountime is a planner for tasks, routines, your day and your week. We work to keep it running and your data safe, and we improve it over time, which means features may change. If we ever close bountime, we'll tell you at least 60 days before, so you can export your data.
Your account
- One account is for one person. You need to be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live).
- You sign in with a link sent to your email, so keep your email account safe: whoever can open it can open bountime.
- You can delete your account any time in Settings → Account; everything in it goes with it.
Your content
What you put into bountime stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, carry it between your devices and show it to you. We don't use it for anything else; the privacy policy says exactly what we keep and why. You can take it all with you any time (Settings → Account → Export my data).
Fair use
Please don't:
- break the law with bountime, or store anything you have no right to;
- try to reach other people's data, test our security without asking us first, or get round limits of your plan;
- overload the service on purpose, or use automated means to make accounts or fill them.
If an account does, we may suspend it, telling you why unless the law stops us.
Plans and payments
- bountime has a free plan and paid plans. What each includes, and the price, is shown before you pay.
- On the web, payments are taken by Paddle, the seller of record, which also handles VAT and receipts. In the apps, they're taken by Apple or Google, under their terms.
- A monthly or yearly plan renews by itself until you cancel. You can cancel any time; the plan then stays until the end of the period you paid for.
- A free trial, if offered, turns into a paid plan at its end unless you cancel before; we'll tell you when it ends.
- If a price changes, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds: see the refund policy.
Times of day and prayer times
Sun and prayer times are worked out on your device from your place and the method you choose. They're careful calculations, not a mosque's timetable, and can differ by a few minutes; for a prayer, check with your local mosque when it matters.
Our responsibility
We provide bountime with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, it's provided as it is: we can't promise it will never be down or never have a bug, so for anything important keep your own copy (Export my data). We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Nothing in these terms limits what the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then (and for a paid plan, ask for a refund of the unused part).
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there can hear any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law and can go to its courts.
